    For the school aged population, we strive to support any academic concerns you (or your child’s teacher) may have. Our goal is to support your overall success, not just your success within structured therapy sessions with us.   • Play, getting dressed, and interacting with friends are just a few activities, or occupations, that a child participates and engages in throughout the day. Occupational Therapy supports children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers; and uses meaningful tasks and activities to help kids be kids.

    At Innovative Therapy, we use evidence-based, inspired, and tailored activities to help a child develop and build the skills required for daily living, school performance, and community activities.

 

 

About Our Team


  • Co-Founder
    MS, CCC-SLP

    Lindsey Gleason, MS, CCC-SLP, has been a Speech-Language Pathologist for 13 years. She attended University of Mary Washington where she received a Bachelor of Arts in English/Linguistics. From there, she went on to graduate from Old Dominion University with her Masters in Speech Language Pathology. Lindsey has experience in both pediatric and adult populations. She has worked extensively in Early Intervention, where she enjoys the active role families play in the therapy process. Coaching and collaboration with caregivers are at the center of Lindsey’s therapy in all settings. Throughout her career, Lindsey has been an active participant in guiding families through the diagnosis and ongoing therapy for Autistic children and adolescents. Lindsey is passionate about all the settings and populations she has worked in, which include: school settings (Elementary, Middle, and High), outpatient clinics, skilled rehab, and acute care.


  • Co-Founder
    MOTR/L, CAS

    Vicki Green, MOTR/L, CAS, brings 15 years of experience to Innovative Therapy. She is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition, Food, and Exercise. From there she went onto pursue her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Vicki is passionate about working with children of all ages, and has extensive experience working in a number of pediatric settings, which include: outpatient therapy, school systems, and Early Intervention. She has special interest and training in social skills groups, working with children with feeding disorders (trained in S.O.S Approach) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (Certified Autism Specialist). Vicki currently sits on the Professional Advisory Board for South University’s Occupational Therapy Assistant Program, as well as Old Dominion University’s (ODU) Occupational Therapy Advisory Board.
